• Develops nursing service philosophy, standards, and policies.
• Establishes care-planning systems including assessments and discharge planning.
• Manages recruiting, hiring, coaching, and performance appraisals.
• Maintains compliance with state and federal requirements for long-term care.
• Coordinates with quality assurance programs and interdisciplinary teams.
• Oversees the ED function in the director's absence.
