Job summary

Benedictine is seeking a Director of Nursing for the Assisted Living (AL) program in Dickinson, ND. This leadership role requires directing and evaluating nursing services, supervising staff, and stepping in for the Administrator as needed.

The DON-AL will manage the department budget, ensure regulatory compliance, and liaise with residents, families, and health care partners while maintaining high-quality care. RN licensure in good standing and strong English communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license in good standing (ND).
• Ability to make independent decisions and prioritize duties.
• Read, write and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative and clinical leadership for nursing staff.
• Lead, direct, analyze, staff, and evaluate nursing services.
• Supervise team and cover leadership in absence of Administrator/Housing Director.
• Develop, revise, monitor, and implement the nursing department budget.
• Ensure regulatory compliance in the nursing department.

The Director of Nursing-AL is responsible for leading, directing, analyzing, staffing and evaluating the nursing services of the department, as well as supervising members of the team. Also, you may assume leadership responsibilities in the absence of the Administrator/Housing Director.

• The DON (AL) provides administrative and clinical leadership for nursing staff to promote the delivery of high quality care.
• The DON (AL) develops, revises, monitors and implements the department budget to promote appropriate resources.
• The DON (AL) develops implements, and evaluates the nursing department all while meeting regulatory compliance.
• The DON (AL) serves as a nursing liaison with internal/external groups, residents/families, general public, and other health care providers.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse, which must be in good standing
• Possess the ability to make independent decisions and have the ability to prioritize duties
• Must be able to read, write and communicate in English

On call expectation would be minimal and will be handled by the Benedictine On Call Services Monday - Thursday from 7pm-7am and on the weekends from Friday - Monday from 7pm-7am.
