Job summary

Benedictine is seeking a Director of Nursing-AL to lead and oversee the nursing department, directing staffing, evaluating care quality, and ensuring regulatory compliance. The role includes administrative and clinical leadership and acting in the Administrator/Housing Director's absence.

The DON-AL will budget resources, liaise with residents, families, and external groups, and uphold Benedictine’s mission and values across the upper Midwest.

Qualifications

• Current state RN license in good standing.
• Ability to make independent decisions and prioritize duties.
• Must read, write and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Lead, direct, analyze, staff, and evaluate nursing services of the department.
• Supervise team and assume leadership in absence of Administrator/Housing Director.
• Provide administrative and clinical leadership for nursing staff.
• Develop, monitor, and implement the department budget.
• Ensure regulatory compliance across the department.
• Serve as nursing liaison with residents, families, and health care providers.
