Job summary

Knollwood Community in Washington, DC seeks a Clinical Nursing Director to lead nursing across skilled nursing, assisted living, memory care and independent living health services. You will direct all nursing personnel, set evidence-based standards, lead QAPI and infection prevention, and ensure survey readiness with plans of correction.

The role requires an unrestricted RN license (DC), a BSN, and five years of progressive nursing leadership in long-term care; MSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted RN license in the District of Columbia.
• BSN required; MSN preferred.
• Five years of progressive nursing leadership, with at least three in long-term care or a life plan community.
• Experience supervising a bargaining-unit nursing workforce.
• Familiarity with PBJ, MDS/RAI, and MatrixCare.

## DescriptionClinical leadership across the full care continuum - skilled nursing, assisted living, memory care,and independent living health services. Skilled nursing is the seat of licensure accountability.You will direct all nursing personnel, set evidence-based clinical standards, lead QAPI andinfection prevention, and carry nursing survey readiness and Plan of Correction execution. You willown a nursing staffing model that meets District coverage and hours standards every day and canbe proven from payroll source records - 24-hour registered nurse coverage under 22-B DCMR §3211.2(a), a Nursing Services Supervisor on duty at all times under § 3209.1. You will own nursingvoluntary turnover as a personal leadership metric.## Qualifications- Current, unrestricted registered nurse license in the District of Columbia. The District isnot a Nurse Licensure Compact jurisdiction; a multistate license issued elsewhere does notauthorize practice here.- BSN required; MSN preferred.- Five years of progressive nursing leadership, with at least three in long-term care or a life plancommunity.- Demonstrated depth in quality improvement and infection prevention, and command of thefederal Requirements of Participation (42 CFR Part 483, Subpart B) and District nursing facilitystandards (22-B DCMR Chapter 32).- Experience supervising a bargaining-unit nursing workforce.- MatrixCare, MDS/RAI, and Payroll-Based Journal (PBJ) ownership preferred.
