The Opportunity
TheDirector of Nursingprovides strategic and operational leadership across our nursing services. This role oversees clinical operations, staffing, compliance, and team development to ensure exceptional care and regulatory alignment. The position also maintains our in-home services license in accordance with Washington State WACs and contributes to the organization’s financial and operational goals. An individual performance bonus is available based on departmental and organizational results.
Key Responsibilities
•Lead and support nursing staff across home and ambulatory infusion settings throughout Western Washington
•Oversee clinical operations, including staff scheduling, onboarding, training, and ongoing development
•Develop and execute departmental goals, including staffing plans, procedural improvements, and standards of care
•Manage staffing needs proactively based on census fluctuations and operational indicators
•Ensure compliance with state and federal healthcare regulations, patient safety protocols, and best practices
•Designated as organization's Director of Clinical Services for WA StateInHome Services License.
•Maintain complete regulatory compliance with State and Federal laws
•Maintain accreditation standards for Infusion Solutions Nursing department
•Collaborate withother departments as appropriate for operations to ensure excellent patient careincluding:Pharmacy, Intake, Sales, and Operations
•Serve as the clinical escalation point for complex cases or high-acuity patient needs
•Monitor quality assurance measures, patient satisfaction, and incident reporting
•Contribute to strategic planning and continuous improvement initiatives
•Manage the nursing department’s budget and resource allocation to meet productivity benchmarks
•Occasionally provide direct patient care or on-site support to stay closely connected with staff and care delivery
Qualifications
Required:
•RN license in good standing with the State of Washington
•Bachelor’s degree in Nursing(BSN)
•5+ years of clinical nursing experience (home infusion or home health), with 3+ years in a leadership role
•Strong IV skills and experience managing both peripheral and central lines
•Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and ability to travel throughout Western Washington
•Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
•Up-to-date tuberculosis (TB) testing
•Proficiency with EMRs, charting systems, and mobile documentation tools
Preferred:
•Master’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Leadership, or a related field
•Certified Registered Nurse Infusion (CRNI) credential
•A clinical leader who is both strategic and hands-on
•A proactive manager with strong budgeting and staffing experience
•An RN who prioritizes patient outcomes, clinical safety, and staff development
•A collaborator who thrives in fast-paced, mission-driven healthcare environments
