Position Overview :

We are seeking a passionate, patient-centric, and goal-oriented Director of Nursing (DON) to join our dedicated team. As the DON, you will provide leadership and support to our nursing team while ensuring the delivery of high-quality care. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong background in behavioral health and nursing leadership.

Key Responsibilities :

• Support the organization's philosophy of care, ensuring a compassionate and patient-focused environment.
• Supervise and lead the nursing management team, providing guidance, support, and mentorship.
• Act as a liaison between physicians, patients, referral sources, and employees to promote effective communication and collaboration.
• Oversee patient care, ensuring adherence to treatment plans and high standards of care.
• Prepare monthly reports and maintain compliance with regulatory and quality standards.
• Work closely with interdisciplinary teams to develop treatment plans for patients with complex needs, including chemical dependency, dual diagnosis, psychiatric, and geriatric conditions.

Qualifications :

• Postgraduate degree in Nursing or a related field, or equivalent experience and qualifications; or a written plan to obtain these qualifications.
• Current, unencumbered license to practice nursing by the State Board of Nursing.
• CPR Certification and Crisis Prevention Training (CPI) within 30 days of employment and prior to any patient contact.
• Previous experience in psychiatric healthcare, particularly with chemical dependency, dual diagnosis, psychiatric, and geriatric patients, is preferred.
• Strong experience in patient assessments, treatment planning, and communication with external review organizations or similar entities.
• Prior leadership experience in a behavioral health setting strongly preferred.

Education & Experience :

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
• Prior experience in behavioral health / psychiatric care preferred.
• Leadership experience in an inpatient behavioral health / psychiatric setting is a plus.
