Colonial Village in Olathe, KS seeks a dedicated Director of Nursing to lead the nursing function within our Continuing Care Retirement Community. The DON oversees staff, regulatory compliance, budgeting, and collaboration with physicians to ensure high-quality resident care.

This weekday-focused role includes an on-call rotation and opportunities for professional growth within a family-based organization committed to compassionate senior care.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse with current state license.
• CPR certification required.
• 3–5 years of supervisory experience in geriatric settings.

Responsibilities

• Supervise nursing staff and ensure quality resident care.
• Oversee nursing department budget and on-call rotation.
• Lead nurse leadership positions and participate in daily operations.
• Assist with hiring, onboarding, training and retention of nursing staff.
• Coordinate with physicians, residents and families on care plans.
• Ensure nursing documentation complies with policies and regulatory standards.
• Participate in meetings and complete reports/audits.
• Oversee restorative nursing procedures to maximize resident function.
