Job summary

Marquis Health Consulting Services is seeking a Director of Nursing (DON) for a Skilled Nursing & Rehab facility in the Everett/Melrose, MA area. Typical schedule is day shifts, Monday–Friday, with rotating on-call coverage for nursing leadership.

The DON will develop staffing plans, oversee quality of care, and collaborate with administrators and medical teams to deliver person-centered care. A RN license in MA and prior DON/manager experience are required.

Qualifications

• Must possess an active MA RN license.
• 3+ years in a management/director role in a nursing care center, hospital, or related health care setting.
• At least 2 years in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices.
• Primary COVID vaccination series required (as stated).

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the written staffing plan for the nursing department.
• Perform rounds to monitor and evaluate the quality of nursing care.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with residents, family members, staff, and medical team.
• Partner with the Administrator to ensure quality, person-centered care.
• Develop, manage, and evaluate department policies and procedures per current rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the written staffing plan that reflects the needs of the nursing department
• Performs rounds to monitor and evaluate the quality of nursing care
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with residents, family members, staff, and medical team
• Work in partnership with the Administrator to ensure quality, person-centered care
• Develop, manage, and evaluate department policies and procedures by current rules and regulations

Requirements:

• Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as an RN in MA
• Provide oversight and direction to clinical team
• Make rounds with physicians, as necessary
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with residents, family members, staff and medical team
• Other special projects and duties, as assigned
• Nursing degree from an accredited college or university preferred
• Three (3) years or more years of experience as a manager/Director of Nursing in a nursing care center, hospital or other related health care center
• Must have a minimum of two (2) years of experience in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices
• Primary series of COVID vaccination is required
