Job summary

FullShift Staffing is seeking a Director of Nursing (DON) for a permanent/direct-hire role in a Skilled Nursing Facility in Massachusetts. This leadership position offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits, with 24/7 oversight of the Nursing Department and a focus on clinical excellence.

You will mentor nursing staff, guide care planning, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive quality initiatives.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state of employment.
• Associate or Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited school of nursing.
• Minimum of five years of long-term care or acute care nursing experience preferred.
• At least two years of nursing leadership or supervisory experience required.
• Thorough understanding of federal, state, and local regulations governing Skilled Nursing Facilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24-hour leadership and oversight of the Nursing Department to ensure high-quality resident care.
• Direct, mentor, and support nursing staff while fostering a positive, team-oriented culture.
• Oversee resident care planning to ensure compliance with physician orders, regulatory requirements, and facility policies.
• Monitor clinical performance, quality measures, infection prevention initiatives, and regulatory compliance.
• Participate in admissions decisions and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for smooth resident transitions.
• Lead daily clinical operations, staffing, scheduling, and performance improvement initiatives.
• Participate in management meetings to review resident care, census, staffing, and priorities.
• Serve as the facility's clinical leader and act as Administrator in the absence of the Administrator.
