Job summary

Marquis Health Consulting Services seeks a Director of Nursing (DON) for a Skilled Nursing & Rehab Facility in Lowell, MA. The DON will lead nursing operations, ensure quality care, and drive person-centered initiatives in collaboration with hospital partners and the administrative team.

The role requires an active MA RN license with at least 3 years in a director/manager role and a minimum of 2 years in rehabilitative and restorative nursing. A COVID vaccination series is expected.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in MA.
• 3+ years in DON/manager role in a nursing setting.
• At least 2 years in rehabilitative/restorative nursing.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement staffing plan for the nursing department.
• Perform rounds to monitor nursing care quality.
• Maintain positive relationships with residents, families, staff and medical team.
• Partner with Administrator to ensure quality, person-centered care.
• Develop and evaluate department policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the written staffing plan that reflects the needs of the nursing department
• Performs rounds to monitor and evaluate the quality of nursing care
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with residents, family members, staff, and medical team
• Work in partnership with the Administrator to ensure quality, person-centered care
• Develop, manage, and evaluate department policies and procedures by current rules and regulations

Requirements:

• Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as an RN in MA
• Provide oversight and direction to clinical team
• Make rounds with physicians, as necessary
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with residents, family members, staff and medical team
• Other special projects and duties, as assigned
• Nursing degree from an accredited college or university preferred
• Three (3) years or more years of experience as a manager/Director of Nursing in a nursing care center, hospital or other related health care center
• Must have a minimum of two (2) years of experience in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices
• Primary series of COVID vaccination is required
