Join Our Team

We are seeking a dynamic, compassionate, and experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our nursing department.

The DON is a key member of our leadership team and is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of clinical care while fostering a collaborative, positive, and high‑performing nursing environment.

The ideal candidate is a strong clinical leader and passionate advocate for resident-centered care—someone who inspires others, develops their team, drives quality outcomes, and ensures compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.

What You’ll Do

As Director of Nursing, you will:

• Lead and oversee daily nursing operations to ensure safe, high-quality, resident-centered care.




• Provide leadership, direction, coaching, and support to the nursing team.




• Foster a compassionate culture focused on resident dignity, safety, and quality of life.




• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.




• Coordinate staffing, scheduling, assignments, and coverage to support effective nursing operations.




• Monitor nursing practices and ensure compliance with facility policies, state regulations, and applicable healthcare standards.




• Ensure accurate and timely documentation related to admissions, discharges, transfers, changes in condition, and resident care.




• Receive, interpret, and accurately transcribe physician orders.




• Monitor clinical outcomes and identify opportunities for improvement.




• Lead and support quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.




• Provide ongoing education, training, and professional development for nursing staff.




• Assist with regulatory surveys, inspections, and corrective action plans as needed.




• Promote effective communication among residents, families, physicians, nursing staff, and the interdisciplinary team.




• Partner with facility leadership to support operational goals while maintaining a strong focus on quality care.

What We’re Looking For

Required Qualifications

• Current Illinois RN license in good standing.




• Minimum of 1 year of nursing supervisory or management experience; long-term care experience required.




• Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.




• Working knowledge of nursing best practices and healthcare regulations.




• Understanding of quality assurance and performance improvement processes.




• Ability to lead, motivate, coach, and develop a diverse nursing team.




• Strong clinical judgment and problem‑solving abilities.




• Commitment to providing compassionate, resident‑centered care.
