Job summary

The Adecco Group seeks a Director of Nursing for a nonprofit serving individuals with behavioral health and crisis-related needs in Maricopa County, AZ. Lead nursing teams, drive quality patient care, and ensure regulatory compliance.

You will mentor Nurse Managers and frontline staff, shape policies, and collaborate with medical and behavioral health leaders to advance the mission.

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Arizona RN license.
• Progressive nursing leadership experience (manager/director level).
• Experience in behavioral health, crisis services, detoxification, or similar setting preferred.
• Strong understanding of clinical compliance, quality standards, and patient safety.
• Proven ability to lead teams, manage priorities, and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for nursing services and clinical operations.
• Mentor Nurse Managers, supervisors, and frontline nursing staff.
• Promote a positive, collaborative, patient-centered workplace culture.
• Ensure nursing practices meet licensing, accreditation, and regulatory standards.
• Oversee staffing, scheduling, training, performance, and nursing competencies.
• Monitor clinical outcomes and identify opportunities to improve quality and patient safety.
• Partner with medical providers and behavioral health professionals.
• Help develop nursing policies, procedures, and evidence-based practices.
• Support incident reviews, corrective action plans, and continuous quality-improvement initiatives.
• Participate in leadership planning and advance the organization’s mission.

What You’ll Do

• Provide leadership and direction for nursing services and clinical operations

What We’re Looking For

• Active and unrestricted Arizona Registered Nurse license
• Progressive nursing leadership experience, ideally at the manager or director level
• Experience in behavioral health, psychiatric care, crisis services, detoxification, substance-use treatment, or a similar setting strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of clinical compliance, quality standards, and patient safety
• Proven ability to lead teams, manage competing priorities, and communicate effectively
• A compassionate, hands-on leadership style and a genuine commitment to serving vulnerable populations
