Job summary

Adecco seeks an experienced nursing leader to oversee outpatient behavioral health across Arizona. The Director of Nursing – Outpatient will ensure clinical excellence, supervise frontline staff, and maintain regulatory compliance across 26 locations.

This role requires a BSN, 3+ years leadership in behavioral health or integrated care, OTP regulatory experience, and willingness to travel statewide. Strong medication-management knowledge is essential, with NextGen experience valued.

Qualifications

• BSN from an accredited nursing program.
• MSN, MHA, MPH or related master's degree preferred.
• Minimum 3 years nursing leadership in behavioral health or integrated care.
• Experience with OTP regulatory requirements.
• Strong knowledge of medication management standards and med-room operations.
• Experience with ACT/FACT, SMI Clinics or PCMH models preferred.
• Experience with NextGen is preferred.
• Current Arizona or Compact RN license in good standing.
• Valid driver's license in good standing.
• Clear 39-month Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
• Ability to pass pre-employment background check.
• Willingness to travel frequently across Arizona.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership and oversight for nursing across outpatient programs and geographically dispersed locations throughout Arizona.
• Provide clinical supervision and support to frontline nursing and medical assistant staff.
• Partner with operational, quality, and compliance leaders to establish and maintain strong clinical standards.
• Drive quality improvement initiatives, clinical outcomes, and performance improvement efforts.
• Ensure appropriate medication management practices and effective med-room operations.
• Serve as the Program Sponsor for Opioid Treatment Programs (OTPs).
• Ensure OTP operations remain compliant with SAMHSA, DEA, Arizona Department of Health Services, and accrediting-body requirements.
• Support ACT/FACT, SMI Clinic, PCMH, and other integrated-care programs.
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and clinical guidance to nursing teams.
• Travel frequently throughout Arizona to provide onsite leadership and support.
• Participate in occasional after-hours or weekend visits when needed for urgent staffing or on-call responsibilities.

Are you an experienced nursing leader with a passion for behavioral health, addiction services, and integrated care? This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing healthcare organization and provide clinical leadership across a diverse network of outpatient programs throughout Arizona.

The Director of Nursing – Outpatient will oversee nursing practice across outpatient behavioral health clinics, SMI clinics, Patient-Centered Medical Homes (PCMH), Opioid Treatment Programs (OTPs), and FACT/ACT teams. What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required from an accredited nursing program.
• MSN, MHA, MPH, or related master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of nursing leadership experience in behavioral health, addiction services, community-based care, or integrated healthcare.
• Experience with Opioid Treatment Program (OTP) regulatory requirements required.
• Strong knowledge of medication management standards and med-room operations.
• Experience with ACT/FACT, SMI Clinics, or PCMH models preferred.
• Experience with NextGen preferred.
• Current Arizona or Compact RN license in good standing.
• Valid driver's license in good standing.
