At Cooler Master, we do not just manufacture hardware; we build the backbone of the future. Cooler Master is transforming from a component-based company to a system solutions provider with high thermal authority. We are solving the volumetric and thermodynamic failure modes of current systems, tackling the severe thermal throttling and acoustic noise that plague standard PCs under sustained machine learning loads. We are a global collective of engineers, creators, and innovators. As we actively expand our footprint in the AI space and drive major technological innovations across the industry, we are dedicated to redefining the tech lifestyle.
Position Overview
Cooler Master is transforming from a component-based manufacturer to a premier system solutions provider with high thermal authority. We are seeking a Director of NPI Sourcing & Operations to architect and scale the supply chain for our Advanced Systems Business Unit. Drawing on the operational rigor of top-tier consumer electronics and high-end compute brands, you will lead the end-to-end NPI lifecycle for our SFF desktop and liquid-cooled mobile workstations. You will synthesize our OEM and ODM networks into a highly leveraged supply chain, overseeing everything from initial Capex investments and IP contract negotiations to high-volume manufacturing and global distribution.
Core Responsibilities
- NPI Lifecycle & Operations Excellence: Direct the transition of complex workstation architectures from C0 concept through C6 mass production. Establish flawless Clear-To-Build (CTB) processes, optimizing manufacturing operations for each product’s unique thermodynamic and volumetric constraints.
- OEM/ODM Supply Chain Synthesis: Pioneer and manage our system outsourcing strategy. Evaluate, onboard, and synthesize Tier-1 Taiwanese and Chinese ODMs into a cohesive manufacturing model that meets Cooler Master’s uncompromising acoustic, thermal, and quality standards.
- Strategic Sourcing & Contract Authority: Serve as the head of system sourcing, taking full ownership of complex contract negotiations. Execute and oversee comprehensive Manufacturer Statements of Work (SOWs), Master Service Agreements (MSAs), and critical intellectual property protections.
- Capex & Automation Management: Handle all Capex AOP budgeting and implementation. Build the framework for automated assembly and testing lines where applicable, optimizing unit cost, quality, and time-to-volume worldwide.
- Global Distribution & Logistics: Architect a resilient, global supply chain network. Manage planning, forecasting, procurement, and direct global shipments, ensuring zero bottlenecking on critical components like bespoke ITX logic boards, liquid cooling pumps, and unified memory allocations.
Qualifications & Industry Standards
- Experience: 12+ years of senior-level supply chain operations, NPI management, and strategic sourcing, with a proven track record as a Head of Supply Chain, Sr. Director, or equivalent in the consumer electronics or high-performance compute hardware sectors.
- Hardware Pedigree: Deep, hands-on experience launching complex systems (laptops, high-end graphics workstations, modular computing). Must understand the operational friction of integrating advanced silicon with aggressive thermal mechanicals.
- Financial & Legal Acumen: Demonstrated history of managing massive Capex budgets and successfully negotiating multi-million dollar MSAs and SOWs with top-tier Asian contract manufacturers.
- Leadership: Proven ability to build and scale global NPI operations teams from the ground up, effectively bridging executive review processes with overseas factory execution.
What You'll Bring to the Team
- The "Scale" Mindset: You view supply chain friction as a math problem. You implement automation, rigid procurement forecasting, and aggressive supplier management to eliminate key manufacturing costs before they impact the P&L.
- Executive Leverage: You possess the industry weight and negotiation expertise to force Tier-1 ODMs to prioritize Cooler Master's production lines, securing the strategic components necessary to maintain our competitive edge.
