Job summary

Axia Women’s Health is a nationwide network of over 400 providers across more than 150 locations, dedicated to delivering patient-centered women’s health care. The Director of Coding will lead the coding and auditing functions, ensuring compliant, efficient processes and optimal revenue for our facilities.

The role partners with the Compliance Officer and care centers to educate teams, monitor CMS changes, and drive KPI-driven improvements across the coding workflow.

Qualifications

• Expert in physician billing with in-depth knowledge of revenue cycle and compliance.
• Strong understanding of CMS guidelines and coding rules.
• Ability to educate coders, physicians, and center staff.

Responsibilities

• Develops and oversees coding function to maximize revenue and quality.
• Oversees external coding vendor staffing and processes.
• Designs compliant coding and auditing processes with leadership.
• Educates providers and centers on documentation rules and requirements.
• Monitors CMS rules and communicates changes to the team.
• Prepares KPI reporting and analyzes AR, denials, and unbilled claims.
• Maintains relationships with physicians, care centers, and vendors.
