RNInk is seeking a Lead Design Engineer to head product design efforts for temperature sensors, sealing products, and engineered assemblies. This role will drive technical decisions, review complex designs, and mentor engineers from customer requirements through production release.

The candidate will oversee architecture, tolerances, verification, and collaboration with manufacturing and sales to deliver robust solutions and drive continuous improvement across programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Progressive product design engineering experience with complex decisions and delivery.
• Engineering leadership experience managing people, priorities, and multiple projects.
• Strong command of mechanical design, CAD, GD&T, tolerances, materials, and verification methods.
• Ability to guide engineers through difficult design problems and communicate with customers and leaders.

Responsabilités

• Lead and develop the engineering team, establish priorities, allocate resources, and manage project commitments.
• Provide hands-on technical direction for product architecture, mechanical design, materials selection, tolerances, and design verification.
• Lead design reviews and resolve technical risks before release.
• Translate customer requirements into clear specifications and validation plans.
• Oversee drawings, BOMs, design calculations, changes, and controlled releases.
• Partner with sales and customers on technical feasibility and custom solutions.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and quality to improve manufacturability and NPI.
• Build engineering capability through coaching and standardized practices.
