Job summary

Professional Recruiting Consultants, Inc. seeks a Senior Engineering Manager for a manufacturer of temperature sensors, sealing products, and engineered assemblies.

You will lead product design engineering from customer requirements through design validation and production release, guiding technical decisions and mentoring engineers. The role emphasizes hands-on direction in product architecture, tolerances, materials, and verification, with collaboration across sales, manufacturing, and quality

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Progressive product design engineering experience handling complex technical decisions.
• Engineering leadership experience managing people and multiple projects.
• Strong command of mechanical design, CAD, GD&T, materials, and verification methods.
• Ability to guide engineers through difficult design problems and communicate with customers.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the engineering team, set priorities, allocate resources, and manage commitments.
• Provide hands-on technical direction for product architecture, tolerances, materials, and verification.
• Lead design reviews to challenge assumptions and resolve risks before release.
• Translate customer requirements into clear specifications and validation plans.
• Oversee drawings, BOMs, design calculations, and controlled release processes.
• Partner with sales and customers on technical feasibility and proposals.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and quality to improve manufacturability and support NPI.
• Coach engineers and establish technical standards and project management practices.
