Job summary

Southern HealthCare Management is seeking an experienced RN with MDS background to join our team as an MDS Coordinator in Florida. You will develop, implement and coordinate the RAI process to ensure compliance with OBRA, Medicare/Medicaid and center policies, working with nursing staff and physicians.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted RN licensure in the state of practice required.
• Working knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid, LTC payer systems, OBRA, RAI and MDS processes preferred.
• Nursing in a long-term care facility is acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and coordinate the RAI process.
• Ensure compliance with professional standards, physician orders, policies and regulations.
• Coordinate MDS activities within the center.

As an MDS Coordinator, you will be responsible for developing, implementing and coordinating the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) process, ensuring the center stays in compliance with current professional practice standards, physician's orders, company policies and procedures, and local, state, and federal regulations.

Entry Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse RN licensure in the state of practice required
• Working knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid programs, LTC payer systems, the Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act (OBRA), the RAI process, and the MDS process preferred OR prior nursing in a long-term care facility
