Job summary

Southeast Steel Systems seeks a hands-on Director of Operations & Manufacturing to lead two production facilities in Adel, GA and Tampa, FL. You will drive safety, quality, throughput, and lead-time improvements, while launching second shifts and building a high-performance team across sites.

The role requires 10+ years in manufacturing leadership, deep steel fabrication experience, and a proven Lean/continuous improvement track record.

Qualifications

10+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience, including multi-site or multi-shift responsibility.
Deep experience in structural steel fabrication, metal building systems, or heavy metals manufacturing.
Hands-on experience implementing lean manufacturing/continuous improvement in a job-shop/engineer-to-order environment.

Responsibilities

Lead production operations across two plants (Adel, GA and Tampa, FL) to achieve transformational goals.
Drive safety, quality, and throughput improvements; own safety metrics and CAPA processes.
Launch second shifts at both locations and develop staffing, shift leadership, and cross-shift communication.
Develop production scheduling and capacity models aligned to sales pipeline; manage ERP data discipline.
Oversee procurement and vendor quality; partner with Finance on inventory strategy and cost control.
