Job summary

Southeast Steel Systems seeks a hands-on QA/QC Specialist to embed quality into every part produced at two manufacturing plants in Adel, GA and Tampa, FL. You will partner with production and engineering to identify issues early and drive continuous improvement.

The role requires on-site involvement on the shop floor, with periodic travel to Tampa. You will own nonconformance processes, develop inspection procedures, and help build supplier quality programs and quality documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience in quality assurance or quality control in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with ISO 9001 or a similar Quality Management System.
• Ability to analyze defects and drive corrective actions.
• Familiarity with blueprints, shop drawings, measurements, and quality records.
• Willingness to travel regularly between Adel, GA and Tampa, FL.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve in-process and final inspection procedures across two facilities.
• Inspect plate, beam fabrication, and other steel components for conformance.
• Verify dimensional tolerances, weld quality, coatings, and shop drawings.
• Identify quality issues before products move to production or customer delivery.
• Own the Nonconformance Report process from identification to resolution.
• Lead Corrective and Preventive Actions through completion.
