Job summary

Charter Steel seeks a Director of Operations Technology to lead a centralized Engineering, Automation and Controls organization across six facilities. The role blends strategic leadership with operational excellence to improve manufacturing performance and develop the next generation of technical leaders.

You will partner with Operations, Plant Leadership and Corporate IT to advance business performance, align technology with goals, and drive continuous improvement across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technology required.
• Ten+ years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing technology, automation, engineering, operations or related technical function.
• Demonstrated experience leading leaders and developing high-performing technical teams.
• Strong analytical skills to frame business issues and articulate a course of action.
• Proven ability to translate business needs into value-added technology solutions.

• Shape the technology strategy by aligning priorities with business objectives and evaluating emerging technologies.
• Build an operationally excellent organization with governance, rhythms, and performance measures.

• Lead strategic investment and governance for capital planning, standards, partnerships, and sourcing.
