Job summary

Ultra-Machining-Company,-Inc- in Monticello, MN, seeks a Director of Manufacturing Technology to own the long-term roadmap for production equipment, facilities, and automation. You’ll lead managers across Facilities & Maintenance, Project Management, Automation, and Applications Engineering to scale capacity, manage risk, and uphold technology standards.

The role requires 10+ years in manufacturing/engineering, strong capital planning skills, and experience with CNC tooling and ERP systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, manufacturing, or industrial engineering or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 10+ years in Manufacturing or Engineering, preferably Precision Machining within Medical or Aerospace industries.
• 3+ years managing people leaders (managers or supervisors).
• Demonstrated experience owning capital equipment planning and multi-machine install programs, including CNC equipment.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of managers and team leads with clear expectations and performance standards.
• Own long-term equipment and capital plan aligned with growth; drive schedule and budget.
• Develop maintenance programs to ensure reliability and uptime of manufacturing equipment.
• Set automation strategy and drive cross-functional collaboration on major investments.
