Job summary

Thompson Pipe Group – Los Angeles, Rialto, CA, is seeking a General Manager to direct, manage, and optimize operations. You will develop and implement strategies to support growth, set policies for productivity, quality, distribution, and cost efficiency, and ensure safety, processes, and training.

The role requires 3+ years of operations management in manufacturing, leadership of large teams, budgeting and P&L ownership, and strong communication with all levels up to C-suite.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years operations management experience in a manufacturing environment, with teams, product, resources, budget, changes, and quality guidance.
• Experience in industrial manufacturing; preferably construction-related/building materials.
• Commercial background and ability to work with all management levels up to C-suite.

Responsibilities

• Directs and manages all Thompson Pipe Group - Los Angeles activities and operations to improve efficiency.
• Oversees manufacturing, production, distribution, maintenance, quality assurance, and safety to align with overall operations.
• Develops functional strategies, policies, and procedures to support infrastructure.
• Establishes metrics and targets; analyzes productivity; prepares reports and presentations.
• Trains and develops staff; sets performance expectations and accountability.
• Reviews budgets and financial data to drive cost control and revenue goals.
• Drives growth opportunities and ensures leadership decisions yield sustained results.
