Job summary
LightForce Orthodontics is seeking a Director of Manufacturing Engineering to lead the engineering of its manufacturing platform, drive automation, NPI, and process improvements. You will partner with Production, Quality and Operations to scale a patient-specific manufacturing system while reducing labor dependence and improving yield and throughput.
The role requires 10+ years in manufacturing with 5+ years of leadership, along with Lean, Six Sigma, DOE and strong program management across
Qualifications
- 10+ years in a complex manufacturing environment.
- 5+ years in direct leadership/people management.
- Directs engineering, CAPEX and NPI initiatives with cross-functional teams.
- Background in tooling, modeling, and design reviews.
- Lean, Six Sigma, cycle-time optimization, and standard workflows.
Responsibilities
- Own the manufacturing technology and process roadmap for scale.
- Drive continuous improvement, process engineering, and cost reduction.
- Lead manufacturing automation and equipment strategy.
- Own NPI manufacturing and design transfer from concept to scale.
- Build and develop a high-performance Manufacturing Engineering org.
- Ensure safety, quality, compliance with OSHA/ISO and regulatory standards.
