North Carolina Central University in Durham, NC is seeking a Director of Development for the School of Business to lead fundraising efforts, manage a donor portfolio, and partner with campus leaders to advance strategic priorities. The role emphasizes building relationships with major gift prospects, developing solicitation plans, and coordinating with the Dean and Division of Institutional Advancement to secure private support.

Travel is required.

Qualifications

• Design and implement donor cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication about higher education and the School of Business.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Experience using Raiser's Edge or similar donor databases.

Responsabilités

• Manage a portfolio of 75–125 donors with major gift focus.
• Develop donor strategies and solicit major gifts for School of Business.
• Collaborate with Dean and Development leadership to align priorities.
