Job summary

The Arc of Palm Beach County is seeking a strategic fundraiser who can build lasting donor relationships and inspire transformational giving to empower individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

You will manage major gift prospects, develop cultivation and solicitation strategies, conduct donor meetings, and collaborate with executive leadership to meet fundraising goals while ensuring accurate donor records in the CRM.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of nonprofit fundraising experience.
• Proven success securing major gifts and cultivating donor relationships.
• Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
• Experience using donor databases and CRM systems.
• CFRE certification required.

About the Role

We are seeking a strategic fundraiser and passionate relationship builder who can connect donors to our mission and inspire transformational giving.

Responsibilities

• Donor Cultivation and Relationship Management
• Manage and grow a portfolio of major gift donors and prospects
• Develop and execute individualized cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies
• Conduct donor meetings, site visits, and engagement opportunities
• Serve as an ambassador for The Arc's mission and impact
• Maintain accurate donor information and engagement records within the CRM system
• Meet or exceed annual fundraising goals
• Identify, research, and qualify new major gift prospects
• Develop compelling proposals, presentations, and funding opportunities
• Partner with executive leadership and board members on donor engagement and solicitation efforts
• Donor Stewardship
• Ensure timely acknowledgment and recognition of major gifts
• Develop stewardship strategies that strengthen donor retention and long-term engagement
• Coordinate donor visits, program tours, and special engagement opportunities
• Provide meaningful impact updates and reports to donors
• Strategic Collaboration
• Collaborate with the President & CEO and leadership team to achieve fundraising objectives
• Translate program needs into compelling donor investment opportunities
• Support fundraising campaigns, events, and organizational initiatives
• Track fundraising activity and maintain a strong donor pipeline

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of successful nonprofit fundraising experience
• Demonstrated success securing major gifts and cultivating donor relationships
• Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills
• Experience using donor databases and CRM systems
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Valid Florida Driver's License and reliable transportation
• CFRE certification
• Experience working in nonprofit organizations serving diverse populations
• Knowledge of major gift fundraising best practices and donor stewardship strategies

Pay range and compensation package
