Job summary

Keolis Transit America is seeking a Maintenance Manager (Director of Maintenance) for BRTA, offering a salary range of $70,000–$74,049. The role requires extensive maintenance leadership in a transit setting and a strong focus on safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.

The successful candidate will lead supervisors and technical staff, implement maintenance programs for buses and equipment, manage budgets, and ensure adherence to regulatory standards while navigating union environments.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of vehicle, equipment, and hydraulic maintenance experience.
• Minimum 3 years' experience as a Maintenance Manager in a transit environment.
• Must have a valid MA driver license; CDL preferred.
• Ability to work without direct supervision and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the maintenance strategy for fleet and facilities.
• Provide leadership to maintenance supervisors and technical teams.
• Establish performance goals and KPIs; pursue continuous improvement.
• Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and operational excellence.
• Manage union relationships under the ratified CBA and related negotiations.
