Job summary

Elegance in Louisville, KY is seeking a hands-on Facilities/Maintenance Manager to develop and lead a wide preventative maintenance program, keeping all equipment in good working order and minimizing downtime. You will supervise Maintenance and Housekeeping staff, interview, screen, hire, coach, evaluate, and terminate personnel, and review turnover to ready units for new residents.

Coordinate with contractors, ensure compliance with building codes, SDS, OSHA, EPA regulations, and fire codes,

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead a wide preventative maintenance program to keep all equipment in good working order.
• Conduct quarterly walk-throughs to identify areas of concern.
• Manage compliance with local, state and federal building codes, SDS, OSHA, EPA regulations, and fire codes.
• Interview, screen, hire, coach, evaluate, and terminate staff within Maintenance and Housekeeping departments.
• Review apartments at turnover to prepare units for new residents.
• Ensure exterior maintenance, landscaping, snow removal, and garbage/trash removal by staff or contractors.
• Maintain inventory control for general supplies, parts and equipment.
• Foster teamwork, take initiative, and have a positive impact on coworkers, residents, and visitors.
• Perform other duties as assigned or needed.
