Based in Oxnard, California, AST boasts over 25 years of industry leadership and operates from a state-of-the-art 250,000 sq. ft. facility.

Your New Role

As the leader of maintenance and facilities, you’ll spearhead the management of our production equipment and infrastructure. Your leadership will guide a team of diligent technicians, coordinate essential repairs, and enforce a strong preventative maintenance culture, ensuring full compliance with safety standards. We seek a leader with profound expertise in mechanical systems and infrastructure management in dynamic manufacturing settings.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Lead maintenance tasks on forging, spinning, heat treating, and CNC machines
  • Direct and prioritize the maintenance technician and support teams
  • Build and manage a team dedicated to robust maintenance operations
  • Monitor work orders, budgets, and labor allocations
  • Diagnose cross-departmental mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues
  • Drive the development of preventive maintenance initiatives with thorough task documentation
  • Ensure adherence to all relevant safety and environmental regulations
  • Boost technician training and safety programs
  • Align maintenance strategies with production and engineering objectives
  • Facilitate new equipment installations and swift emergency repairs
  • Oversee utilities, plumbing, HVAC, lighting, and infrastructure maintenance

Qualifications

  • Extensive (7+ years) expertise in manufacturing maintenance and facility management
  • Competence across CNC, mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems
  • Proven track record in leading maintenance teams and vendor relations
  • Well-versed in OSHA, EPA, and hazardous material guidelines
  • Outstanding organizational and communication prowess
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP or CMMS systems (E2 )
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification benefits you
