Position Summary:

The General Manager of the Part 145 space is responsible to the FAA owner for all tasks assigned by the FAA Accountable Manager for the performance of aircraft inspection programs, repairs, overhauls, alterations, maintenance, and preventative maintenance by repair station personnel. The position is also responsible for full compliance with all procedures outlined in the QC Manual section III as appropriate to any item/article being inspected, maintained, repaired, overhauled, or altered by the Repair Station.

Essential Functions:

  • Planning, coordinating and directing the Leads and Technicians assigned to them in the performance of maintenance and alterations on the aircraft and components.
  • Maintaining an open line of communication with the customer to ensure all relevant information is provided to the customer as it relates to the successful completion of the work scope on the aircraft or component.
  • The planning, direction, and coordination of activities within the Maintenance Department and the planning of its activities in conjunction with other departments as required.
  • Establish safety standards and ensuring adequate safety precautions are observed and adhered to.
  • Identifying, controlling, segregating, and maintaining all precision tools and test equipment to a serviceable or unserviceable category as designated by the Chief Inspector.
  • Ensure that all personnel under their supervision perform quality work.
  • Ensure all applicable maintenance entries on maintenance forms, Work Orders, and Inspection forms used by the Repair Station are properly executed and completed in accordance with the procedures of the Repair Station/Quality Control Manual by the responsible lead technician, before an aircraft is submitted for final inspection to a Quality Control Inspector.
  • Performs any and all other tasks assigned by the FAA Accountable Manager.
  • Performs all other duties outlined in the CFR 145 Repair Station Manual.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledgeable in all aspects of the Repair Station Manual, Repair Station Quality Manual, and Repair Station Training Manual.
  • Knowledgeable of GMM and portions of the GOM relevant to maintenance.
  • Knowledgeable in maintenance requirements pertaining to the FAR Part 145 and other applicable regulations necessary for the proper performance of duties.
  • Sufficient training in software and programs necessary to ensure regulatory compliance (CAMP).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize duties based on immediate need.
  • Possess polished and professional interpersonal skills with a customer-oriented mindset.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5-10 years of experience as an aircraft mechanic, minimum of 5 years of specific aircraft type experience with factory training, airframe and powerplant certificate required.
  • 5+ years experience with King Air aircraft (preferred).
  • 5 years minimum experience in a management role.
