We are seeking a courteous, detail-oriented maintenance engineer to ensure our guests have a five-star experience. You will oversee the property’s overall upkeep and carry out routine processes to keep it fully functional, enjoyable, and safe. Responsibilities
- Maintain all hotel equipment, maintenance plans, and safety policies according to company and brand standards.
- Complete daily operation logs, report maintenance issues, safety hazards, and accidents.
- Understand various repair and maintenance systems (HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, refrigeration, fire code, pool, etc.) and be willing to learn and obtain necessary certifications and training.
- Work diligently on assigned tasks, take initiative to solve problems, and improve processes.
- Supervise and support the maintenance team.
- Create a welcoming environment for guests and address concerns promptly.
- Support the property after hours during emergencies or staff shortages.
- Use a variety of tools and maintenance equipment safely and effectively.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager.
- Follow all safety rules and procedures related to engineering tasks.
- Remain on-call for emergencies, maintaining a phone at all times.
- Tend to all hotel equipment and perform preventive maintenance routines.
- Address guest complaints related to building maintenance and troubleshoot issues.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years experience in maintenance.
- Previous hotel experience preferred.
- Ability to use web-based maintenance software preferred.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is mandatory.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Compensation
$22 - $28 hourly
