We are currently seeking a skilled, compassionate, dedicated, and driven experienced Maintenance Director to join our growing team!
Located in Gainesville, FL, we are a skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility dedicated to helping residents maximize their potential and live fully. Our modern, comfortable, and secure facility is staffed by caring professionals providing sub-acute medical care, rehabilitation services, and 24-hour skilled nursing care. The primary purpose of this position is to plan, organize, develop, and direct the overall operation of the Maintenance Department, ensuring the facility is maintained safely and comfortably according to applicable standards and regulations, as directed by the Administrator.
The role involves working throughout the facility, including office, power rooms, resident rooms, therapy rooms, and dietary areas. It requires sitting, standing, bending, lifting, and moving intermittently. The position may require working beyond normal hours, on weekends, holidays, and being on-call for emergencies. Exposure to chemicals, infectious waste, odors, and adverse weather conditions is possible.
Must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent. Knowledge of blueprint reading, carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, mechanics, hydraulics, and refrigeration is required. Familiarity with building codes and Life Safety regulations is essential. A thorough understanding of general building and equipment maintenance is necessary.
Participation in Hazardous Communication and Universal Precautions training is required, following CDC, ODH, OSHA guidelines. Responsibilities include supervising safety and fire prevention, inspecting work areas, maintaining supplies and equipment, developing waste disposal policies, and reporting damages to the Administrator.
Recommend equipment and supply needs to the Administrator, place orders, conduct regular checks, and maintain inventory management of tools, equipment, and supplies.
