Job Summary

The Maintenance Director will supervise and coordinate the activities of the maintenance department to ensure environmental center compliance with Federal, State, and Local regulations, ordinances, and building codes. Responsibilities include maintaining a sanitary, attractive, and safe environment, ensuring the repair and maintenance of electrical, plumbing, ventilation, heating, and cooling systems, and providing quality laundry services. Responsibilities

1. Supervise all Environmental Services personnel and daily operations across the center, managing budgets, staffing, and resolving interdepartmental issues effectively.
2. Implement and maintain the company’s preventive maintenance program and record-keeping systems to ensure optimal physical function of the center.
3. Maintain comprehensive documentation of all maintenance activities, including records of replacement parts, materials used, and fuel supply.
4. Perform routine maintenance and repairs in compliance with applicable regulations and codes.
5. Collaborate with residents, healthcare staff, and other departments regarding environmental requests, infection prevention, and service improvements, providing timely follow-up and consultation on best practices.
6. Perform other duties as assigned or changed at any time.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• One to two years of supervisory experience in a commercial setting, with knowledge of laundry, housekeeping, and maintenance procedures.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in long-term care preferred.
• HVAC and general maintenance experience required.
• Healthcare experience is preferred but can be provided training.
