The Director of Loss Prevention will play a vital role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for guests, employees, and property assets. Through proactive leadership, strategic planning, and responsive action, you'll help reduce risk, resolve conflicts, and uphold the integrity of operations. Your presence and influence will shape a culture of safety, accountability, and preparedness-ensuring peace of mind for everyone on-site.

HOW YOU'LL SHAPE THE EXPERIENCE & FUTURE

• Managing Security/Loss Prevention Operations
• Development and implementation of emergency procedures.
• Conducts investigation of all losses of property assets and refers to proper management for disposition.
• Deploys security staff to effectively monitor and protect property assets.
• Handles complaints, settling disputes, and resolving grievances and conflicts, or otherwise negotiating with others.
• Identifies and makes recommendations for minimizing physical hazards and unsafe work practices.
• Provides means for obtaining necessary medical attention on a timely basis.
• Attends pre- and post-convention and weekly forecast meetings to understand group needs and gather critical information to communicate to Loss Prevention officers.
• Communicates the importance of safety procedures, detailing procedure codes, ensuring employee understanding of safety codes, monitoring processes and procedures related to safety.
• Identifies the developmental needs of others and coaching, mentoring, or otherwise helping others to improve their knowledge or skills.
• Informs and/or updates the executives, peers and subordinates on relevant information in a timely manner.
• Assists in minimizing cost of accident claims through aggressive claims management.
• Completes proper documentation and reports all employee accident and general liability incidents to Claims Reporting Service
• Other duties as assigned

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Minimum of 4 years in security, loss prevention, or a related professional area, ideally within a hospitality or high-traffic environment.

Overseeing the deployment of security personnel and resources.

Leading emergency response planning and implementation.

Investigating incidents and reporting findings to senior leadership.

Conducting risk assessments and identifying safety hazards.

Attending operational meetings to anticipate security needs tied to group and event activity.

Managing claims and incident documentation in coordination with claims services.

ACADEMIC BACKGROUND

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate's degree or higher in Criminal Justice or a related field from an accredited institution preferred.
