Job summary

Harris Beach Murtha is seeking a Manager of Professional Development to lead training and development across the firm, including new-hire onboarding and ongoing skills programs. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required or preferred.
• 5+ years of related work experience (preferred).
• Law firm experience is a plus.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Knowledge of eLearning software and on-line training tools.
• Familiarity with a Learning Management System (LMS) as to how to manage users, courses, assessments, and reporting is a plus.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to respond to timely requests and concerns.

Responsibilities

• Manage the daily operations of the department and an evolutionary strategic direction that aligns with the firm’s vision, mission, and goals.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and leads to develop and deliver training.
• Evaluate resources and load balancing to maximize value from a small team.
• Coordinate onboarding training and the Introduction to Technology curriculum for new hires.
• Develop new content by exploring delivery methods (self-guided, bite-size learning) and adding engaging formats.
• Assist with other duties as needed.
• Foster interaction with teams across the firm to identify training opportunities.
