Job summary

Harris Beach Murtha Cullina PLLC is seeking a Manager of Professional Development to lead the delivery of training and development across Albany, Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse, NY, and Hartford, CT (100% in office).

You will oversee daily operations, collaborate with stakeholders, and drive an evolving strategy aligned with the firm's goals. The role requires experience in adult education and strong communication, with an emphasis on onboarding and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination with adult education (preferred).
• 5+ years of related work experience (preferred).
• Law firm experience a plus.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word/Outlook/PowerPoint/Excel).
• Knowledge of eLearning software and online training tools.
• Familiarity with an LMS and reporting is a plus.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for timely responses.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of the Professional Development department.
• Lead a team of professionals to develop and deliver training.
• Coordinate onboarding and new hire training initiatives.
• Maintain and administer the Introduction to Technology curriculum for new hires.
• Monitor progress and support transitions into roles.
• Collaborate with project teams to transform content into effective learning.
• Promote and communicate training opportunities across the firm.
• Develop new content using diverse delivery methods (self-guided, bite-size).
• Assist with other duties as needed.
