Job summary

ExploreK12 is seeking a Director of Learning Experience Design Science to lead a high-performing team and advance our science portfolio across literacy and math. You will turn research on student learning into engaging, differentiated digital experiences loved by teachers and students.

You will shape the pedagogical vision, partner with product, engineering and marketing, and guide content from concept to delivery. A data-driven, standards-focused leader with EdTech experience is essential.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in learning experience design or educational content development.
• 3+ years leading or managing teams in a fast-paced product development environment.
• 3+ years of K-12 classroom teaching experience (or equivalent).
• Demonstrated experience using data, analytics, and codesign to guide product iterations and design decisions.
• Creative portfolio with engaging, interactive digital learning experiences.
• Deep knowledge of national/state standards and the K-12 landscape, including external vendors.
• Leadership experience in an EdTech company or modern educational publishing house.
• Experience designing specifically for digital platforms.

Responsibilities

• Creative Product Innovation & Differentiation: set a high benchmark for efficacy, usability, and engagement.
• Content Leadership: create learning experiences and frameworks for content creation and research-informed resources.
• Culture & Operational Leadership: coach the LXD team and manage capacity, budgets, and external vendors.
