Job summary

The Learning & Leadership Development Director leads leadership development for the North Carolina Department of Transportation and directs the department's Learning & Leadership Development function.

The Director owns the Pathways Leadership Development Program across five leadership levels and ensures leaders are developed against seven competencies, partnering with executive leadership to embed Pathways department-wide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and three years of program experience in the area of assignment, including two years of managerial experience
• Experience leading a multi-level leadership development program in a large organization
• Experience facilitating and presenting to executive and senior-leader audiences
• Experience driving adoption of an enterprise program across organizational lines without direct authority
• Experience establishing program measures and using data to improve learning outcomes

Responsibilities

• Lead leadership development for the department and direct the Learning & Leadership Development function
• Own the Pathways Leadership Development Program across five levels (strategy, curriculum, delivery, cohort cycles, assessment)
• Supervise four positions and a Learning Operations unit, stewarding a ~nine-employee team
• Partner with executive leadership to embed Pathways department-wide and define service standards
• Rationalize the learning catalog against statewide offerings and measure impact
