Job summary

BD is seeking a Director of Labeling & Packaging in UCC to lead strategy and execution across NPD and sustaining engineering. This role requires 12+ years in packaging or labeling leadership and a strong regulatory background.

You will drive consumer-centric design, regulatory compliance, and process excellence, building a scalable organization and partnering with R&D, Quality, Regulatory, and Marketing to deliver high-quality labeling and packaging at global scale.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Packaging Science, Industrial Design, or related field.
• 12+ years in packaging, labeling, or product development with leadership roles.
• Experience in consumer products packaging and/or industrial design.
• Proven process improvements and operational efficiency in a complex organization.
• Experience in regulated industries (medical device preferred).

Responsibilities

• Define and execute long-term labeling and packaging strategy aligned with growth objectives.
• Lead across labeling and packaging platforms and projects.
• Embed consumer product packaging principles to elevate usability and differentiation.
• Drive standardization, automation, and AI-enabled workflows to improve throughput.
• Ensure compliance with global labeling, packaging, and design controls.
• Oversee labeling and packaging deliverables across the full product lifecycle.
• Build a high-performing team and develop organizational capability.
