Chartwells K12 is seeking a hands‑on Director of Dining Services for Clawson School District in Clawson, MI to oversee nutrition programs across two locations. You will manage daily operations, lead a team of 15 frontline associates, and drive financial performance while ensuring USDA compliance and a high‑quality student dining experience.

The ideal candidate has K‑12 food service experience, strong leadership and communication skills, and a passion for student nutrition.

Qualifications

• Associates degree preferred.
• Three plus years of foodservice management experience required.
• Dining experience preferred.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Financial and business acumen.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversees all P&L and budgeting as it pertains to the account.
• Maintains excellent relationships with the client.
• Works with the team in creating nutritious and top quality food for the students.
• Implements new culinary programs in conjunction with the Company marketing and culinary teams.
• Acts as a liaison between the Company, Client, and the community.
