Job summary

Akaasa Technologies is seeking a senior IT leader to own enterprise infrastructure, cloud operations, networking, service delivery, and cybersecurity coordination for a major public-sector healthcare environment. The director will oversee vendors, contracts, and modernization efforts while ensuring ITSM alignment and strong executive communication.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of progressive IT experience, 8+ years in IT leadership, and hands-on AWS/national/regulatory compliance

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive IT experience with strong enterprise IT operations/infrastructure management.
• 8+ years of IT leadership/management experience overseeing technical teams and support personnel.
• 2+ years managing enterprise AWS environments with hands-on EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, and AWS Landing Zones.

• Coordinate cybersecurity and IT governance in a regulated environment for a healthcare setting.

I'm looking for a senior IT leader who can take ownership of enterprise infrastructure, cloud operations, networking, service delivery, cybersecurity coordination, vendors, and technology modernization for a major public-sector healthcare environment.

Must-Have Qualifications

10+ years of progressive IT experience with strong enterprise IT operations/infrastructure management

8+ years of IT leadership/management experience overseeing technical teams, managers, engineers, and support personnel

2+ years managing enterprise AWS environments - MUST have hands-on experience with:

• EC2
• S3
• IAM
• VPC
• CloudWatch
• AWS Landing Zones

2+ years of enterprise networking experience, including:

• LAN/WAN
• DNS
• Load balancing
• Wireless
• Telecommunications
• Firewalls

2+ years managing IT Service Desk operations, including:

• Incident management
• Service levels/KPIs
• Customer satisfaction
• Major incident response
• 2+ years managing technology vendors, contracts, SOWs, procurement, and escalations
• 2+ years managing enterprise backup/data-protection solutions
• 2+ years applying cybersecurity, compliance, and IT governance principles in a regulated environment
• Strong executive communication skills - must be able to translate complex technical issues into clear business-level updates
• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, MIS, Management, or related field - equivalent experience may be considered.

Healthcare / Government Experience.

Experience with State/Federal Government, Medicaid, healthcare, or human services is highly preferred.
