DESCRIPTION
The Director of IT Operations is responsible for overseeing and managing the financial aspects of an organization's IT department, ensuring efficient operations, compliance, and alignment with business goals. This role involves budget management, asset management, cost control, and vendor relations, all while ensuring the IT infrastructure supports the organization's strategic objectives. In addition to financial management, this role will provide oversight for the IT PMO and organizational change management.

Key Responsibilities:
- Budget Management: Develops, manages, and controls the IT department's budget, ensuring efficient resource allocation and cost-effectiveness.
- Financial Reporting: Prepares and analyzes financial reports, providing insights into IT performance and making recommendations for improvement.
- Financial Analysis: Analyze and develop project budgets, risks, and resource allocation.
- Cost Control: Identifies and implements strategies to reduce IT costs, such as optimizing resource utilization, renegotiating contracts, and implementing cost-saving initiatives.
- Vendor Management: Manages relationships with IT vendors, negotiating contracts, ensuring service level agreements are met, and evaluating vendor performance.
- Compliance: Ensures IT financial operations comply with relevant regulations, policies, and internal controls.
- Strategic Alignment: Partners with other departments to align IT financial operations with the organization's overall strategic goals.
- Process Improvement: Identifies opportunities to streamline IT financial processes, improve efficiency, and enhance internal controls.
- Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A): May be involved in financial forecasting, budgeting, and performance analysis.
- System Implementation and Upgrade: Participates in the implementation and upgrade of enterprise systems to support financial management and operations.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in IT or a finance-related field.
- Experience: 7+ years of experience in IT financial operations management.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of financial principles, project management, accounting standards, budgeting, and IT financial operations.
- Skills: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Soft Skills: Leadership, teamwork, and the ability to build relationships with other departments are important.

- Manage staff's work schedules including assignments, job rotation, training, vacations, paid time off, telecommuting, cover for absenteeism, and overtime scheduling to meet team, department, and company goals.
- Make business decisions that are financially responsible, accountable, justifiable, and defensible in accordance with organization policies and procedures.
- Establish and maintain relevant controls and feedback systems to monitor the operation of your area(s) of responsibility.
COMPENSATION
The approximate compensation range for this position is $155,521 - $269,422 per year. This range is a good faith estimate at the time of posting. Actual compensation depends on education, qualifications, experience, skillset, and work location.
