A leading company in the food industry is seeking a Director of IT Infrastructure and Security to build a scalable and secure technology framework. This role involves overseeing IT systems, vendor management, and compliance, while collaborating with various departments. Ideal candidates will have extensive experience in IT leadership and cybersecurity, with a proactive approach to building internal IT functions.
In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and securing the technology infrastructure that powers RYZE Superfoods. As our first Director of IT Infrastructure & Security, you will lay the foundation for a scalable, secure, and future-ready internal tech ecosystem. You’ll lead the implementation of modern IT systems, oversee vendor management and Help Desk operations, and ensure compliance with key regulations while partnering cross-functionally to meet the evolving needs of a fast-growing, digitally native business.
Build the IT Function from the Ground Up
Design and implement the company’s IT infrastructure roadmap with a focus on scalability and cloud-first solutions
Evaluate existing systems, identify gaps, and define future-state architecture across networking, SaaS management, and device operations
Lead implementation and administration of tools supporting business ops, collaboration, and data security
Security & Compliance Ownership
Establish and maintain RYZE’s security policies and governance frameworks
Oversee threat detection, vulnerability management, and incident response processes
Ensure compliance with evolving privacy and data security standards (e.g., SOC2, GDPR, CCPA)
Manage Help Desk contractors and establish scalable IT support processes
Build efficient onboarding/offboarding workflows, access controls, and troubleshooting playbooks
Lead vendor management including contract negotiation and tech evaluation
Strategic Leadership & Collaboration
Partner with Ops, Finance, Marketing, and People teams to assess and support IT needs
Contribute to business continuity and disaster recovery planning
Champion internal IT initiatives and serve as the go-to expert on all things infrastructure and security
10+ years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure and/or cybersecurity
7+ years in an IT leadership role, preferably in a high-growth or startup environment
Demonstrated experience building or scaling internal IT functions from the ground up
Experience managing help desk operations and vendor relationships
Familiarity with compliance standards such as SOC2, GDPR, and CCPA
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Deep knowledge of network architecture, endpoint security, device provisioning, and cloud/SaaS environments
Proficiency with tools like Google Workspace, Okta, Intune, JAMF, and other infrastructure platforms
Strong grasp of cybersecurity best practices and governance frameworks
Hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves mindset with strategic leadership capabilities
Excellent project management and cross-functional collaboration skills
Proactive communicator with the ability to influence and guide stakeholders across departments
