Kingdom Capital Management is a founder-led investment firm based in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, running a concentrated, long-term value strategy. We own a small number of deeply researched businesses and measure success in years, not quarters. Our investors are partners in that approach — the patience of the capital matters as much as the amount.
Role Description
We are hiring a Director of Investor Relations to work directly with the founder on capital formation — finding, winning, and keeping the right limited partners (LPs) for a concentrated, long-term value strategy. This is a hands-on seat for a rising IR professional who blends technical fluency with a seller's instincts: you will run real pipeline, sit in real investor meetings, and own relationships from first call through onboarding.
The founder leads pitches today. You will source and prepare those meetings, drive the follow-up, and grow into presenting the firm yourself. If you want reps, responsibility, and a direct line to the person managing the portfolio, this is that seat.
What You'll Do
- Prospect and build a targeted pipeline of prospective LPs — family offices, high-net-worth investors, and wealth platforms — through research, warm introductions, and disciplined outreach.
- Qualify prospects for fit: accreditation status, check size, time horizon, and alignment with a concentrated, long-duration strategy.
- Prepare the founder for every investor meeting — briefing notes, prospect background, tailored talking points — and own the follow-up and next steps.
- Know the firm presentation cold, and deliver it credibly when the founder is unavailable.
- Work fluently with fund documents — the Limited Partnership Agreement (LPA), Private Placement
- Memorandum (PPM), and subscription documents — fielding first-line investor questions and routing the rest to counsel or the fund administrator.
- Guide new LPs through subscription and onboarding, coordinating with the fund administrator and
- counsel so their first experience with the firm is a clean one.
- Edit and maintain the firm's marketing materials — pitch deck, one-pager, and investor communications — keeping them accurate, current, and sharp.
- Conduct in-depth portfolio reviews — analyzing current holdings and sector allocations — and compile them into clear materials to explain to investors.
- Manage ongoing LP relationships with the check-ins, answers, and updates that make investors glad they invested.
- Keep the CRM current, report pipeline status weekly, and represent the firm at industry conferences and family-office events.
What We're Looking For
- 2–4 years in a relevant seat — fund marketing or investor relations, consulting, placement, private wealth, or another role that blends analysis with client work.
- Series 7 and Series 63 licenses (required).
- A technical salesperson at heart: comfortable with the substance of fund documents and strategy, and equally comfortable asking for the meeting.
- Working knowledge of private fund structures and offering documents; able to read a pitch deck and an LPA without hand-holding.
- Hands-on experience prospecting, onboarding investors, and managing relationships over time.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills — your edits make materials better, and your emails get answered.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related field.
Compensation and Benefits
- Base salary: $70,000–$90,000, depending on experience
- Results-based incentive plan tied to capital-formation outcomes
- Medical insurance
- Vision insurance
- 401(k) with company match
- Paid time off (PTO)
- Paid parental leave
- Paid federal holidays
