Goodwin Recruiting is seeking a Director of Inventory Control in Downtown Los Angeles to lead nationwide inventory policies, accuracy programs, and cross‑functional collaboration. This senior role drives shrink reduction and operational excellence across a centralized HQ and multiple warehouses.

The position requires 8–10+ years in inventory management with 5+ years in leadership, plus APICS/ASCM certification preferred. Travel 25–30% to sites and strong analytical leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• 8–10+ years in inventory management with at least 5 years in leadership.
• Experience managing inventory across multiple warehouse/distribution sites, including remote teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, Finance, Operations, or related field.
• APICS/ASCM certification (CPIM or CSCP) preferred.
• Lean, Six Sigma or continuous improvement experience preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership/communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Develop, document, and enforce standardized inventory policies, procedures, and controls nationwide.
• Own inventory accuracy, set targets, and hold teams accountable to performance.
• Design and manage cycle count programs; lead physical inventories and reconciliations.
• Conduct root-cause analyses for variances, shrink, and write-offs; implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with Finance on inventory valuation, month-end close, and audits.
• Manage inventory transfers, returns, and adjustments for accurate system records.
• Partner with Purchasing and Demand Planning to optimize replenishment levels.
• Monitor slow-moving/obsolete inventory; recommend dispositions.
• Oversee inventory in WMS/ERP systems and drive dashboard KPI visibility.
• Lead hiring and development of inventory staff across locations.
