Job summary

Gwinnett County Public Schools seeks an Executive Director of Instructional Technology and Innovation to provide strategic leadership for the district's instructional technology plan and library media programs. This role leads cross-divisional collaboration to design, implement, and evaluate innovative technologies that support teaching, learning, and productivity.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to design, lead, and supervise district-wide instructional technology initiatives that promote innovation and align with the district's mission, vision, and strategic goals.
• Skilled in fostering cross-divisional collaboration to drive adoption and continuous improvement of instructional technologies.
• Experience in evaluating, selecting, procuring, and integrating instructional technologies.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive-level leadership and strategic direction for all departments within Instructional Technology and Innovation.
• Collaborate cross-divisionally to plan, design, implement, and evaluate innovative instructional technologies.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure transparency and alignment.
• Lead the district-wide vision for LMS, digital platforms, and library media programs.
• Maintain knowledge of best practices to enhance staff productivity and student outcomes.
• Stay informed of trends through professional engagement and conference participation.
• Serve as an ambassador for GCPS instructional technology and innovation to external partners.
• Develop and monitor goals, KPIs, and budgets for the department.
• Lead data-driven decisions on resource allocation and ROI.
• Provide continuous improvement across processes to enhance efficiency.
• Oversee budget and ensure compliance with laws and guidelines related to instructional technology.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
