Job summary

Payson Unified District is seeking a Director of Technology & Innovation to lead the district's technology and innovation efforts. This role manages the Technology department, aligns resources with district objectives, and drives district-wide educational technology initiatives.

Qualifications

• Broad knowledge of information systems technology management and enterprise IT operations.
• Experience with instructional design, digital learning environments, and documentation.
• Strong understanding of HIPAA/FERPA confidentiality requirements.
• Knowledge of network, servers, operating systems, and security in educational settings.
• Experience in policy development, budgeting, and vendor management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee technology planning, execution and support for district-wide objectives.
• Lead ITS budget, hiring, contracts and partnerships.
• Develop district technology plan aligned with strategic goals.
• Foster collaboration across ITS, EdTech, SIS, and Communications teams.
• Ensure compliant, secure infrastructure supporting teaching and learning.
