Job summary

The Institute for Nonprofit Practice in Needham, MA, with plans to relocate to Dedham, seeks a Director of Institutional Giving to lead fundraising for national operations. You will manage the full lifecycle of corporate and foundation relationships including cultivation, solicitation, grant writing, and stewardship, reporting to the VP of Advancement.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in nonprofit development with demonstrated success in fundraising.
• Exceptional written communication and ability to craft compelling grant proposals.
• Experience developing strategies for donor retention and growth with complex requests.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a growing, mission-driven setting.
• Collaborative team player with strong organizational and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute the institutional giving strategy for corporate and foundation funders.
• Oversee grant writing, donor cultivation, solicitation and stewardship across a portfolio.
• Develop proposals and tailor funding opportunities to meet national and regional goals.
• Build and maintain systems for grant management, reporting and capacity building.
