Job summary

Portland Community College seeks a Department Director II to lead the Office of Institutional Effectiveness. You will guide long-range planning, program development, and staff development, while coordinating with Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, HR, Finance, Operations, and executive leadership.

Responsibilities include responding to inquiries, supervising professionals, and contributing to governance and organizational growth.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in education, behavioral or social science, public policy, or related field with emphasis on research, planning and assessment activities related to higher education.
• Five years of experience in research, planning and assessment activities related to higher education.
• Management and supervisory experience is desired.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the Office of Institutional Effectiveness under the Dean of Institutional Effectiveness and Planning.
• Provides leadership in long-range planning, program development, problem solving, and staff development.
• Responds to inquiries from College departments, the community, and external agencies and supervises administrative services professionals.
