Job summary

Wor-Wic Community College seeks a Director of Assessment and Planning to lead collegewide assessment, coordinate strategic planning, and advance student learning and institutional effectiveness. The role partners with institutional research and college leaders to evaluate success initiatives and ensure accreditation readiness.

The position oversees data-driven improvement, chairs committees, and guides policy recommendations aligned with the college’s mission and priorities.

Qualifications

• Three years of related work experience involving assessment, quality assurance and/or strategic planning.
• Secondary or postsecondary teaching experience.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to learn new computer applications.
• Microsoft Office skills.
• Valid driver's license.
• Preference will be given to applicants with previous accreditation and postsecondary teaching experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead collegewide assessment processes for strategic planning, academic programs, courses and service departments; chair committees; set goals and benchmarks; collaborate with institutional research for data.
• Coordinate the collegewide strategic planning process; monitor plan progress and align with the college mission and vision.
• Advance institutional effectiveness by strengthening assessment-planning links and ensuring accreditation compliance; co‑chair self-study preparations.
• Deliver professional development on evaluating student data, interventions and continuous improvement; provide training and documentation.
• Assist with evaluating collegewide student success initiatives and outcomes; establish baselines and monitor targets; facilitate data-driven improvements.
• Collaborate with institutional research to assess student learning, persistence, credential completion and access to programs; interpret peer comparisons.
